Disney World Dining at Resorts

For us, we’ve found that most of our favorite restaurants at Walt Disney World are located in the resorts or Downtown Disney/Disney Springs.  They are very easy to get to from the parks because you just jump on whatever transportation is best to get there, then take it back to the park after you have enjoyed your meal.

Our kids’ favorite place to eat is probably Cape May Cafe at the Beech Club Resort.  This is a great place to enjoy all you care to eat crab legs, muscles, clams, varieties of fish, roast beef, chowder just to name a few.  There is a great kids selection as well if you have pickier eaters.

If you’re looking for something more elegant you should try California Grill at the top of the Contemporary Resort.  This is a truly world class cusine dining experience.  Also, regardless of when you eat there you are allowed back in to watch the Magic Kingdom Fireworks Spectacular from the lounge or observation deck.  This is a great experience as you get a great view of the fireworks and the music is piped in and played both in the restaurant and on the observation deck.

On a recent trip we also enjoyed the Beeches and Cream Soda Shop at the Beech Club for the first time.  The food is classic soda pull fare but very nicely done and the deserts are sensational.  We did not get the Kitchen Sink, but we did see two get delivered.  They are enormous.

    1. Thank you, Sheree! Even if one family finds this site useful in helping to plan their Disney World vacation I will be extremely proud of this site. Cheers!

  1. Great to see other Disney dining fans Christian. I love your 3 choices here. Ironic I found your site. My Top 3 WDW Resort Restaurants are Artist Pointe Wilderness Lodge), Cape May Café (Beach Club- just like you have chosen above) and Kona Cafe I actually work at WDW (Magic Kingdom). I’ve worked here for many years and am considered by all my friends to be a Disney expert. One of these days I’ll share some Disney secrets if you are open to that.

    1. We’ve actually not eaten at Artist Point yet but plan to in June. We have eaten at Kona and love that as well.

I would absolutely love to hear some Disney secrets. I’m always looking to learn more.
